What we believe at
ANTIOCHENE ACADEMY
We believe it is essential we never lose sight of this fact, that our faith is not simply a list of statements about us or what we claim to know or represent. Our personal Christian faith is based on a relationship — a relationship with Jesus Christ. This provides the basis for a relationship with each other. This should always be the foundation of our understanding of our identity as Christians. Once we understand this, then we can confidently use the statements below to describe this relationship.
We believe in one true and almighty God, Our Heavenly Father, creator of heaven and earth, and in His unique Son, the Word made flesh, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born from a virgin, Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate and was crucified, died, and was buried, descended into hades, but rose again from the grave on the third day, then ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God, Our Father almighty. And that he will come again to judge all the living and the dead. We believe in the Holy Spirit, in the holy worldwide congregation of those called to assemble in Christ, the fellowship of holy ones, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and in the life everlasting. Amen.
That better place
AT THE FEET OF JESUS
It is the place that Mary occupied over two thousand years ago, right at the feet of Jesus. That is the better place, for she took the place of a student, of a hearer and a learner. Jesus said of Mary, “There is need of only one or but a few things. Mary has chosen the good portion [that which is to her advantage], which shall not be taken away from her” (Luke 10:42).
You, too, can choose the good part and that which will be given to you during your time of learning and studying the Bible will not be taken away! At Antiochene Academy you have a chance to gain knowledge of God and learn of His ways, enabling you to discern good from bad according to His will, recognizing the counterfeit so as to not fall into deception and to keep on guard from the deceptive power of sin that can easily entangle us as Christians and lead to one's great downfall. You have the opportunity to take in knowledge of God and the one whom He sent, Jesus Christ so as to gain everlasting life as He has promised.
We welcome all sitting at the feet of Jesus in a symbolic sense, all those who desire to know about Our Heavenly Father and His purposes in a more personal way, to grow in knowledge and wisdom through a study of God's word, and hope to put into practice what you learn, whether you are called into full-time ministry or have other gifts and talents to offer in the work of God's Kingdom.

Antiochene Academy is an International Bible Students Academy where cooperation and study of the Bible go hand in hand. Every student at Antiochene Academy works with an advisor to craft a Dissertation Question to research and present findings on. Each Antiochene Academy student is expected to maintain a portfolio of work throughout the completion of courses and to culminate their learning with a capstone project. Our working together serves to provide a basis for increased knowledge and understanding that can help all Bible Students become better equipped at handling the word of God aright.
